History

TempSocialWork.com is under the umbrella company of Circle of Life Aging Services, LLC. Circle of Life Aging Services provides a variety of services to seniors, their families and other senior care providers. Started by two social workers, Gretchen Scheffel and Deb Seaberg, it is now solely owned by Gretchen. Our company has been growing, and we have proudly offered temporary social work for over two years.

Hello, and thank you for visiting TempSocialWork.com! I have been working with older adults for 15 years (first as a Dietetic Technician and, for the past 10 years, as a Social Worker). My work settings have been varied: hospitals, nursing homes, social service agencies, county and state social services and, currently, private business! I speak on a variety of topics related to aging and have worked as a consultant on several projects. I am excited to offer the senior community top quality service and expertise through TempSocialWork.com!

Temporary social work is a relatively new concept; however, it is catching on with many senior care providers. There is a need for facilities and other agencies to continue to offer quality social services during times of transition and other leave of absences. Temporary social work is a great way to prevent burnout of social workers who may be expected to pick up the slack when other social workers are not available.

We also offer contract social work to agencies, clinics, and assisted living facilities. This is a great way for you to provide quality social services without hiring more permanant employees.
